Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) In a medical intervention known as 'Bronchoscopy', a 15cm-long fish was removed from a man's lungs in a city hospital here.

Kamla Duglat, hailing from Mahaboobabad mandal in Warangal district, makes a living by fishing. Recently, while fishing he kept a fish in his mouth and tried to catch another. Accidentally, the fish slipped down his throat and reached the lungs.

He was taken to a hospital in Warangal where doctors made a hole in his throat to facilitate air passage, but in vain.

Dr Jayachandra of Aditya Hospital, who performed the Bronchoscopy told UNI that the fish had totally blocked air passage in the left lung and part of the right lung. He was taken to the hospital with breathing difficulties.

The fish was removed through the same hole.
