First Delhi-Surat Indian flight tomorrow
Surat, May 5 (UNI) The first flight of Indian from New Delhi will land at Surat airport tomorrow, fulfilling the long-standing wishes of the people from this diamond city.
Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel will welcome the first flight to Surat and give a green signal to the returning flight to Delhi.
The air linkage between Delhi and Surat will benifit tourism in South Gujarat, apart from business sector in the diamond city. The first flight of Indian will have newly designed Airbus A-319 which will have executive and economy classes.
This flight will operate on daily basis between the two cities.
The Surat airport has been upgraded for accomodating big airbuses at the cost of Rs 68.81 crore. The Airport Authority of India is sprucing up the airport facilities in order to manage the ever increasing number of passengers.
