CRPF constable killed in blast

Jagdalpur, May 5 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was today killed and another person injured in a blast triggered by naxals near Chharaghat near Narayanpur area in Bastar district, police said.

Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) R K Vij said CRPF constable S K Viswas was killed in the blast, while another constable U K Mishra sustained injuries.

He said a team of para-military personnel were patrolling the area when Maoist rebels triggered three blasts and later resorted to firing.

Mr Vij said additional forces have been rushed to the spot.
