CPI(M) stages dharna demanding houses for poor

Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh unit of CPI-M today staged a dharna, demanding houses for all eligible poor.

Traffic came to a standstill for three hours as hundreds of partmen converged on the MRO's office in the busy Khairatabad area.

Party leaders alleged that Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who had promised to build lakhs of houses for the poor had totally failed to fulfill his promise.

They also charged that the government's housing programme in Hyderabad district was a total failure during the last three years.
