BJS leader, son sentenced to nine months' imprisonment
Tikamgarh, MP, May 5 (UNI) A local court has sentenced Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Jan Shakti secretary Ram Kushwah and his son Raju Kushwah to nine months' imprisonment and fined them Rs 150 each on the charge of beating up some people.
According to prosecution, the accused had beaten up Awdesh, Munnadevi, Gomti Devi, Mangal Singh and Ramsevak with sticks over a money-related issue at Sagarwara village on March 4, 2002.
Judicial Magistrate R M Bhagwati acquitted another accused, Dashrath Kushwah, while delivering the verdict yesterday.
