Aurangabad sexual exploitation case: ACP's residence searched

The CID sleuths conducted the searches under the supervision of SP Vasant Pardeshi and DySP Ujwala Pingale, a woman officer who has been especially deputed from Pune to investigate the case.
Two CDs, containing objectionable material, were seized during the searches, sources said.

The city's Kranti Chowk Police had arrested five people, including a woman, for allegedly operating a sex racket last month.
A 14-year-old girl had, then, been rescued. The girl had alleged that three police officers, including an assistant commissioner of police had sexually abused her.
The racket was busted on April 22, following a raid in a lodge, and the investigations were subsequently handed over to the CID, under the supervision of Mr Pardeshi and Ms Pingale.
