Allahabad Bank Q4 net dips 16.4 pc

New Delhi, May 5: Allahabad Bank today registered 16.4 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 125.73 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 150.49 crore during the same period last year.

However, the bank's total income rose 28.3 per cent to Rs 1,519.29 crore in the said quarter in comparison to Rs 1183.61 crore during the corresponding quarter a year ago.

For the fiscal ended March 2007, it posted a net profit of Rs 750.14 crore as compared to Rs 706.12 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.

The bank's income increased from Rs 4,249.69 crore to Rs 5,260.26 crore during the period under consideration.

During the year the bank has proposed final dividend at 30 per cent on capital of Rs 446.7 crore, a statement said.
