Absconding TRS MLA likely to surrender tomorrow
Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA S Bapu Rao, allegedly involved in the fake passport case and who went missing since the scam was unearthed, will surrender before the police tomorrow.
According to sources here, the TRS MLA was in contact with his advocate after the Central Crime Station (CCS) police booked a case against him on May three and launched a manhunt for him.
Mr Rao was the second TRS MLA to be accused of contacting Rashid, the alleged kingpin in the human trafficking case who surrendered before the police on May three in the city, to obtain fake passport for a woman in the name of his wife. The TRS MLA was representing ST reserved Boath constitutency in Adilabad district.
TRS MLA K Lingaiah was the first TRS leader to surrender before the police in connection with the fake passport case and was remanded to police custody for further interrogation.
