534 cases settled in Lok Adalats

Chandigarh, May 5 (UNI) As many as 534 cases were settled in the Lok Adalats organised at Panipat, Hisar, Rohtak, Dabwali and Rural Lok Adalat at Beri in Jhajjar district by Haryana State Legal Services Authority.

A spokesman for the Authority said out of 534 cases. 21 cases were pertaining to death or injury arising out of vehicle accidents. He said an amount of Rs 34.55 lakh was awarded was compensation.

The remaining 513 cases were pertaining to other categories like civil bank loan cases at pre-litigative stage while pending cases were also solved.
