3 held for selling pirated VCDs
Chennai, May 5 (UNI) The central crime branch police arrested three persons for selling pirated VCDs of new Tamil films and pornographic CDs in Burma Bazzar and Richi Street in the city today.
A police team led by Sub-Inspector D Isakki Pandiyan conducted the raids in different shops in these two places and seized 2260 pirated VCDs worth about Rs 9.10 lakh.
Police said the seized VCDs included recently releass, 'Koodal Nagar', 'Unnale Unnale', 'Arputha Theevu' and 'Mayakkannadi', among others.
The arrested H Anthoniraj (37), K Abdul raheem (29) and K Ibrahim (21) were remanded to judicial custody.
