Washable apron in Bhubaneswar; Trains rescheduled

Bhubaneswar, May 04 (UNI) The construction of washable apron at platform number one of Bhubaneswar station has forced the east coast railways(ECoR) to reschedule, control and short terminate some trains According to the a ECoR release, as part of the modernization work and to maintain cleanliness it had decided to construct washable apron at Platform Number-1.

The construction, sources said, would commence from May seven and take minimum 45 days to complete. During these period some of the trains leaving and passing through Bhubaneswar Railway Station will be re-scheduled, controlled and short terminated.

The 8411 Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Inter City Express and 2893 Bhubaneswar-Bolangir Inter City Express scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar at 0525 hours had been rescheduled and would leave Bhubaneswar at 0600 hours.

Similarly, 2074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jana Satabdi Express, 2819 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Orissa Sampark Kranti Express and 8447 Bhubaneswar-Koraput Hirakhand Express scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar station at 0600 hours, 1545 hours and 2000 hours respectively had been rescheduled to leave Bhubaneswar Station at 0615 hours, 1615 hours and 2015 hours.

To ensure right time departure of originating trains like Rajdhani, Jan Satabdi, Visakha and Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Inter City trains from Bhubaneswar Railway Station, it had been decided to control 8448 Koraput-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express and 2829 Chennai-Bhubaneswar Weekly Super Fast express at Khurda Road, 2145 LTT-Bhubaneswar Express and 8426 Raipur-Bhubaneswar Express at Mancheswar Railway station on the nominated days of service of the originating trains.

The 8412 Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express will be short terminated at Khurda Road station and will run as Passenger Special after departure of Jagannath Express towards Bhubaneswar During the construction work of washable apron no parcel handling will be done at Bhubaneswar station. All inward and outward parcel traffic of Bhubaneswar towards Howrah and New Delhi will be dealt at Cuttack Railway station, while all south bound inward and outward parcel traffic of Bhubaneswar will be dealt at Khurda Road Station, sources said.
