Vasundhara Government failed in keeping its promises--Gehlot
Jaipur, May 4 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today alleged that the Vasundhara Raje Government in the state had failed to provide good governance and keep commitments it had made to the electorate.
Mr Gehlot said, in a statement here today, that the Raje Government could neither solve any of the burning problems of the people nor could curb corruption in public life and rise in crimes against women, dalits or people of minority communities.
The former Chief Minister also condemned the BJP government for its ''failure'' in opening of adequate drought relief works to provide employment to people in famine hit areas.
''A failed Chief Minister is now undertaking tours to different parts of the state to seek voters' favour for the next assembly elections, due to be held by end of 2008, but she will not succeed in misleading people and seek their favour,'' he said.
Mr Gehlot arrived here yesterday afternoon to participate in the blood donation camp organised by Congress supporters to mark his 57th birth day.
