Mumbai, May 4 (UNI) The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) has demanded a new train to Dehra Dun from Mumbai.

There are many Uttarakhand natives living in Mumbai and the existing trains are not enough to cope up with the population, the UKD has said while demanding a train, ''Shri Badri Kedar Darshan Super Fast'' with immediate effect.

UKD central organising Secretary Vinod Nautiyal, addressing a press conference here today, said they have demanded the new train from the government but nothing has come out of it.

Meanwhile, the UKD has protested the move to delimit assembly seats in Uttarakhand according to the population. The UKD pointed out that hilly regions in Uttarakhand have less population compared to the terrains. If the seats are delimited according to the population, then the hilly regions will be provided with less seats and this will hinder the development of the same, Mr Nautiyal said.

The UKD has threatened to launch an agitation if the delimitation is carried out.
