New Delhi, May 4 (UNI) A Bill for the welfare of unorganised workers, including agricultural workers, will be introduced in the current session of Parliament, Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes assured the Lok Sabha today.

A group of ministers (GoM) is working on the Bill, and it will be placed before the Cabinet in a few days, Mr Fernandes said, replying to the debate on a private member's Bill, Agricultural Workers Welfare Bill, 2005, moved by Mr Hannan Mollah (CPM).

''All efforts will be made to present the Bill in this session itself,'' Mr Fernandes said, and appealed to Mr Mollah to hence withdraw his Bill, which was duly done.

The Minister also said that the National Commission for Enterprise in Unorganised Sector was working on a separate Bill, on the working conditions of unorganised workers.

''As soon as the recommendations of the Commission are received, work on this Bill will also start,'' he said.
