K'taka: Three children drown in a tank

Mandya, May 4: Three children in the age group of 10 and 11 were drowned in a tank in Bevanahalli, about four km from here yesterday.

Police said that the trio Shivu (10), Mahesh (11) and Ravi (10) had ventured into swimming in a tank which was meant for storing water for agriculture purpose.

Though the tragedy took place yesterday afternoon, nobody was aware about the incident and today a villager saw two bodies floating and informed the police.

All the three bodies were recovered and it would be handedover to their parents after postmortem, police added.
