Three children drown in tank

Mandya, Karnataka, May 4 (UNI) Three children drowned in a tank in Bevanahalli, about four km from here.

Police said the trio, Shivu (10), Mahesh (11) and Ravi (10), had gone for a swim in the tank, meant for irrigation purposes.

Though the tragedy took place yesterday afternoon, the incident came to light only today when a villager saw two bodies floating and informed the police.

All the three bodies were recovered and it would be handed to their parents after a post mortem, police added.
