Rinfall at many places in Karnataka

Bangalore, May 4 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Ofice here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over the State.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Munirabad, Raichur, Sravanabelgola, Magadi 7 each.

Other chief amounts of Rainfall (cm): Gowribidanur6, C.R.Patna, Srirangapatna 5 each, Subramanya, Hanumasagar, T. Narsipura, Basaralu, Thondebhavi, Sira 4 each. Udupi, Hangal, Gadag, Kuknoor, Tavaregere, Gudibande, Devanahalli, Pavgada 3 each. Mulki, Karkala, Bhatkal, Mundagod, Shirali, Hubli, Shiggaon, Savanur, Ranebennur, Nargund, Kushtagi, Bagalkote, Bhagamandala, Ponampet, Jayapura, Kammardi, Hallimysore, Hunsur, Sargur, Bagepalli, Santhebennur Kunigal, Koratagere, Chintamani 2 each. Panambur, Bajpe, Honavar, Nilkund, Byadgi, Shirahatti, Haveri, Bijapur, Badami, Madikeri, Madapura, Tyagarthi, Humchadakatte, Soraba, Periyapatna, K.R.Nagara, Nanjangud, Mysore, Sidlaghatta, Chikballapur, Mulbagal, elamanagala, Ramanagara, Kudligi, Chikkanahalli 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at many places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka, fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka; however below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 41 Degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over all the districts Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
