Rapist given 25 yr RI

Pilibhit, May 4 (UNI) A local court has sentenced a man to 25 years rigorous imprisonment for abducting and raping a teenage girl in this district.

According to the prosecution, Mohanlal had criminally assaulted a teenaged girl after kidnapping her in Madhotanda area last year.

Later, the victim's family members lodged an FIR against the accused.

On the basis of substantial evidence and testimony last evening, Additional Session Court Judge Ghanshyam Pathak convicted the accused, besides imposing a penalty of Rs 5,000, on him.
