UP: One killed in police encounter

Lucknow, May 4: An unidentified miscreant died in an encounter with a Special Operation Group (SOG) in Kavinagar area of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh last night, police said today.

The incident took place when two motorcycle borne people were intercepted by the SOG. One of the miscreant died in an encounter, while the other managed to escape.

One pistol and several cartridges were recovered from the spot.

An FIR has been lodged and investigations were on, police added.
