Mother-in-law beheaded

Ujjain, May 4 (UNI) A youth beheaded his mother-in-law at her house on her refusal to send his wife along with him, police said today.

The incident took place at Tunda village in Mahidpur tahsil of this district yesterday.

Shanti Bai (40) had a long-term spat with her son-in-law Narayana over sending her daughter to his home. When he turned up again yesterday, Shanti Bai didn't oblige her son-in-law.

This provoked the youth, who stabbed her to death with a sharp weapon.

The accused was absconding.
