Modi is unhappy with his junior in fake encounter case

Gandhinagar, May 4 (UNI) The Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case seems to have cast its shadow on relations between Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his colleague Home Minister Amit Shah? According to sources, Mr Modi is unhappy with Mr Shah as the fake encounter case was mishandled by the Home Minister, causing embarrassment to his government.

Mr Shah did not attend the Cabinet meeting on Thursday and also stayed away from Gujarat Day celebrations on May one.

Officials said Mr Shah had also not attended his office at Sachivalaya after the arrest of three IPS officers in the Sohrabuddin case.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat government has asked IPS officer Geeta Johri to investigate into Sohrabuddin Sheikh's murder case. She is the Gujarat CID officer, who exposed the staged encounter. It was on the basis of her report that three IPS officers were arrested.

Gujarat CID DIG Rajneesh Rai who was probing the case, has been asked to discontinue with the probe. He had replaced Ms Johri earlier to head the case.
