Marginal increase in temperatures in HP

Shimla, May 4 (UNI) Temperatures across Himachal Pradesh recorded a marginal increase during the last 24 hrs, after registering a drop following rains in the state in the last few days.

The state capital recorded a marginal increase in the maximum temperature, which stood at 24.7 degree Celsius, as compared to 24.4 degrees recorded yesterday, the met office said.

Temperatures in other parts of the state also rose by one to two degrees, which were two to three degrees above normal for this period of the year.

The met office said Sundernagar recorded a day temperature of 34.7, Bhuntar 31 and Dharamshala 29.8 degree Celsius.

Sundarnagar in Mandi district recorded a minimum temperature of 19 degrees as compared to 15.6 degrees yesterday, while it was 15.6 degrees at Bhuntar and 19.7 degrees at Dharamsala.

Solan recorded a night temperature of 14.5 degrees C, Palampur 18.2 degrees and Bhang Manali 10.5 degrees.

Kalpa in Kinnuar district recorded a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees, it said.

The met office has predicted rain and thundershowers at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
