MAAC signs agreement with CIE

Kolkata, May 4 (UNI) Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics(MAAC), the country's leading animation and visual effects institute, offering various courses in computer graphics, animation and special effects, has recently tied up with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

Following a successful evaluation of course materials and assessment, CIE has agreed to validate MAAC's AD3D and P0D3D programmes.

This process will involve continual monitoring by which CIE will ensure that quality standards are maintained and students are provided with the most appropriate forms of assessment, CIE Validation Manager Ben Gibbs said at a function here yesterday.

CIE would also ensure quality at the MAAC's academic systems and that administration meets the expected standards of international practice. Students, who meet the programme's assessment criteria and pass their award will receive a CIE certificate, MAAC General Manager, Corporate Communications, Kingshuk Gupta said.

University of Cambridge International Examinatioins, (CIE) is part of Cambridge Assessment, a not-for-profit organisation and a department of the University of Cambridge.

A leading institute in 3D animation and visual effects, MAAC runs more than 50 training centres in India, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Nepal and London. On an average, it trains some 6,000 students every year.
