IT sleuths unearth illegal assets and, icome amounting to 4 crore

Jaipur, May 4 (UNI) Income Tax department sleuths have unearthed illegal assets of over Rs four crore during raids on six premises of builders firms in Jaipur.

A departmental spokesman said the process of raids, which had begun yesterday morning, concluded today. He said during the raids, the raiding parties seized jewellery, worth around Rs 67 lakhs, and Rs 18 lakhs in cash.

The firms concerned had also surrendered undeclared income of Rs 3.25 crore for taxation.

Three lockers of the above firms were yet to be opened. The same had been sealed by the department for the time being, the spokesman said.
