Husband gets life term for killing wife for dowry

Alwar, May 4 (UNI) A local court here sentenced a husband to life imprisonment for killing his wife for dowry.

According to the case, the police arrested Ravindra Sain for killing his wife Laxmi on the complaint of Laxmi's brother Sanjay Sain. Sanjay had charged that Ravindra murdered his wife for dowry on June 18, 2005.

Alwar's Upper District and Session court magistrate D P Sharma, found Ravindra guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment yesterday.

A fine of Rs 1,000 was also imposed on him.
