Haryana gets Rs 922 cr licence fee from liquor vends

Chandigarh, May 4 (UNI) The Haryana Excise and Taxation Department has realised an all time high licence fee of Rs 922 crore by allotting 3675 liquor vends.

The licence fee was 8.56 per cent higher than Rs 849 crore realised during last year, an official spokesman said.

The department would get licence fee of about Rs 4 to 5 crore from the 35 vends which were yet to be allotted.

Besides, the department expected to get about Rs 15 crore of licence fee from the sub vends, he said.
