California Governor invites AP CM

Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has invited Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to meet him on May 9.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Mr Schwarzenegger said, ''India and California share an incredible breadth and depth of connections from thriving agricultural communities to vibrant film and entertainment industries to our growing biotech and high-tech sectors.'' ''Our states are both looking to the future in the areas that will define our future prosperity and quality of life, and I know that by working together we can foster and strengthen these common bonds,'' he added.

The Chief Minister's visit to California ''will help to expand the already robust cultural and economic ties that exist between our states,'' Mr Schwarzenegger said hoping that their meeting would help to explore these ties further.

''In addition, I would like to discuss my trade mission to India,'' he said.

Mr Schwarzenegger said he hoped that they could build brighter and more prosperous future for the residents of Andhra Pradesh and California alike.
