BJP's Gaurav youngest candidate for SMC elections
Shimla, May 4 (UNI) The BJP's 22-year-old candidate Gaurav Sharma, an MBA student, is the youngest in the fray for the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) elections.
Gaurav, who is pursuing his MBA degree from Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), figured in the second and final list of BJP candidates for SMC elections that are to be held on May 23. He will contest from ward No nine (Nabha).
While Lalita Kaushal would be the party candidate from ward No three (Kaithu), Manju Sood would fight from ward No 12 (Ram Bazar) and rebel Congress candidate Poonam Sharma would be the BJP's candidate from ward No 23 (Patyog).
The party had released the list of 21 candidates for the 25-member corporation on April 30, while announcing that candidates for the remaining four wards would be announced later.
