BCA student shot dead in Lucknow

Lucknow, May 4 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants shot dead a BCA student under Madiyau police station in the state capital last night, police said today.

Police said Dadhichi Gupta's body was found behind Akshanka complex in the Jankipuram locality.

Gupta, doing his BCA course from Aptech Institute, went to meet a friend at Kapoorthala on his motorcycle last evening, police said.

Initially when the body was recovered, police said a case of an accident but later after intervention of senior cops a murder case was lodged.

Police recovered a cartridge from the spot in the morning.

Gupta's father is an engineer with the UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) and presently posted at Sitapur.
