Bank manager and two others sentenced to rigorous imprisonment
Patna, May 4 (UNI) A special court today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to three people, including a former Bank manager, in a case of cheating and corruption.
Special CBI Judge R S Rai also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 fine on each of the convicts.
The designated court found guilty a former manager of Maheshkhut branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Khagaria district, cashier and a local trader under various sections of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the charges, the convicts caused loss to the tune of Rs 38 lakh to the Bank by disbursing loan under fake names.
