AP Govt has no objection to CBI inquiry: Minister
Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said the State Government has no objection to the CBI taking over investigation of the fake passport case.
Replying to questions from mediapersons here, he said he could not reply to any of the questions as police was not given custody of Rashid, a key suspect in the fake passport case who had surrendered yesterday. Once the police was given his custody, the investigation would progress, he added.
Asked if Rashid had offered to turn an approver, the Minister said there was no need for any approver to bring the facts to light.
''Our police is capable of handling the case.'' UNI
