Itanagar, May 4 (UNI) The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) would soon launch a mission ''Clean Drive'' in the state against infiltration, illegal land allotment and issuance of fake ST certificates.

AAPSU president Kanu Bagang today told newspersons that the apex students' body would soon constitute a committee in this regard and visit various districts to assess the number of people possessing fake ST certificates and land allotment orders.

''The committee would mainly visit Yingkiong, Tawang and Bomdila, where complaints have been received of illegally possessing many fake ST certificates by Tibetan refugees,'' he said, adding the operation would be carried out in association with the respective district administrations.

The students' organisation would initiate a legal action on detection of such irregularities as possession of fake ST certificates was against the Constitutional provision, Mr Bagang pointed out, saying the union was also concerned over large-scale infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals into the state, particularly the state capital through various check gates.

Pleading the state government to give a serious thought on the issue and to strengthen the police force at the check gates, the AAPSU leader commented that if such problems were not dealt with seriously, days were not far when Arunachal would witness a situation akin to Asom.
