Water levels in major reservoirs decrease
Thiruvananthapuram, May 3 (UNI) Water levels of major reservoirs in Kerala have decreased.
According to figures released by the Central Water Commission for the week ending April 30, water level at Idukki decreased from 2,331.75 ft to 2,328 ft, Idamalayar from 468.70 ft to 465.94 ft and Kallada from 311.29 ft to 307.94 ft.
When compared with the water levels recorded during the same period last year, Kallada and Idukki reservoirs showed a decrease of 20.80 ft and 3.07 ft respectively, while Idamalayar reservoir recorded an increase of 9.90 ft.
