Two killed on highway mishap
Jamshedpur, May 3 (UNI) Two people, were killed and forty injured when the mini-bus they were travelling in collided head on with an oil tanker at Bhilai Pahari village on National Highway 33 here last night.
Police today said the bus was returning from Kalajhor to Sunderpur village when the oil tanker, coming from opposite direction, rammed into the bus. The cleaner of the tanker died on the spot while Laltu Mahto(15), one of the marriage party passengers, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The injured were admitted to MGM hospital where the condition of some of them was said to be critical, police said.
Irate villagers later blocked the road following the accident, and vehicular traffic on the highway came to a standstill till late in the night, police added.
