Three militants arrested, hideout busted in J and K

Srinagar, May 3 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three militants along with arms and ammunition while security forces busted a hideout in the state overnight.

An official spokesman said police arrested three militants during different raids in the city overnight. One pistol, one hand grenade and 20 rounds of ammunition were recovered from their possession.

An encounter took place between militants and security forces at Patushai, Lolab, in the frontier district of Kupwara this morning during a search operation, he said. However, militants managed to escape. Later, security forces busted a hideout and recovered some arms and ammunition.
