Somnath Chatterjee to address TN Assembly on May 12

Chennai, May 3 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee will address the Tamil Nadu Assembly on May 12, instead of May 11, on the occasion of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's golden jubilee in the House.

Announcing this in the House, Speaker R Avudaiappan said a decision to this effect was taken at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting held at his chamber this afternoon.

Mr Chatterjee would felicitate Mr Karunanidhi on his completion of five decades in the House. Mr Karunanidhi was elected to the State Assembly for the first time in 1957.
