Rs 26 lakhs missing from SBI branch in Bihar

Sheikhpura, May 3 (UNI) Over Rs 26 lakhs was mysteriously missing from a branch of the State Bank Of India (SBI) located at station road in Sheikhpura town.

According to police, the amount was detected to be missing during maintenance of the register yesterday.A case was lodged at the town police station.

The bank had been sealed and its cashier Janardan Prasad was arrested in this connection. During interrogation, the cashier informed that the key of the bank was with him but pleaded ignorance about the amount that was mising.
