Rashid surrenders before AP police
Hyderabad, May 3 (UNI) Suspected mastermind of the sensational human trafficking case involving Lok Sabha BJP MP Babubhai Katara, Rashid, today surrendered before the Central Crime Station (CCS) Police in the city.
Sources said Rashid surrendered before the CCS police this morning. However, he was not allowed to talk to the press.
The Delhi Crime Branch Police, who came to the city to nab one of the main accused in the fake passport case, had failed to trace Rashid during their five-day investigations in the city.
Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) MLA K Lingaiah, who surrendered on April 27 in connection with the case, had also named Rashid, saying he contacted him to obtain fake passport for a woman in his wife's name.
