Rajya Sabha returns Railways Appropriation Bill
New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha today returned without discussion the Appropriation (Railways) No.2 Bill, 2007.
The bill, already passed by the Lok Sabha, authorises payment and appropriation of certain sums from the Consolidated Fund of India for the financial year 2007-08 for the Railways.
Minister of State for Railways R Velu moved the bill in the Rajya Sabha.
Mr Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena) was the sole member who was to make a statement. However, he was not present in the House.
Finally, the bill was returned to the Lok Sabha without any discussion.
In the Lok Sabha too, the bill was passed without any discussion.
