New Delhi: Mphasis Q4 net up 59 pc

New Delhi, May 3: Mphasis Ltd today reported 58.96 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 29 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 18.2 crore during the same month last year.

The company, which is controlled by Electronic Data Systems Corp (EDS India), has increased its total income to 54.91 per cent at Rs 161 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 from Rs 103.93 crore in the corresponding month last year.

''We have grown from strength to strength after a subdued first quarter to record our highest ever profits as a company. As a combined group with EDS India, we have crossed 20,000 people and are looking at building on this solid foundation in the time to come,'' Mphasis Chairman Jerry Rao said in a statement.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 71.33 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 76.22 crore last year.

Total income of the company rose to Rs 530 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 from Rs 385.2 crore last year.
