Lawyer shot dead

Mahoba, May 3 (UNI) A lawyer was allegedly shot dead by unidentified miscreants near Sura police outpost in Srinagar area here last night, police said today.

Kanhaiya Lal Sijahari of Malka village in Chattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh had arrived here for a marriage ceremony.

Yesterday, he was returning along with his assistant Prem Tiwari, when he was shot dead near 'Bada Nala', they added.

An FIR has been lodged and police were investigating the case.
