Karnataka Bank to open new 25 branches

Rajahmundry, Apr 3: Karnataka Bank Limited (KBL) will open 25 25 more branches in the country, its Chief General Manager P Jayaram Bhat said today.

Addressing presspersons after participating at a function held in connection with the shifting of local branch of KBL, he said the bank was aiming to increase the total business to Rs 28,500 crore from the present Rs 23,500 crores.

The new branches would be opened at Hyderabad and Warangal, he said adding that plans were afoot to open more branches in northern parts of the country.

Mr Bhat said of the 410 branches, 319 were networked and cent per cent networking would be completed by July this year.

The NPA of the bank was only 1.18 per cent, he added.
