JKLF's 'safar-e-azadi' from May 6

Srinagar, May 3 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik will embark on a statewide ''safar-e-azadi (journey for independence)'' from Anantnag district on May 6.

Mr Malik and his colleagues would start the journey from Daksum and Kokernag areas of south Kashmir on Sunday and travel across the Kashmir valley.

The journey is part of the JKLF's campaign -- ''Peace in South Asia: Kashmir first and Kashmiri first'' -- to launch efforts to resolve the vexed issue and seek the inclusion of the people of the state in the ongoing peace and reconciliation process.

Mr Malik and his colleagues would undertake the journey in a specially-designed vehicle.
