Infotech JVs with HAL for engineering services in aerospace

New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) Infotech Enterprises Ltd today entered into a joint venture (JV) with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) to offer world class engineering design services for the aerospace sector.

''HAL and Infotech has a 50:50 partnership and will operate as an independent business entity,'' said Infotech Chairman and Managing Director B V R Mohan Reddy.

The JV mainly focuses on aero-engines, technical publications and anticipated work from various original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) under the offset programmes.

He added that the JV will open a plethora of opportunities to provide comprehensive engineering services to customers in the aerospace sector. Increasingly, customers across the globe are looking for comprehensive solutions from a single vendor.

''The JV will be in a position to pitch for complete system-level solutions,'' he claimed.

Infotech's relationship with UTC will, however, not form the part of the JV in addition to the HAL's strategically-sensitive military projects. The partner companies will transfer some of their personnel to the JV.
