Infotech, HAL joint venture in aerospace sector

Hyderabad, May 3 (UNI) Infotech Enterprises Limited and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) have formed a joint venture (JV) company to offer world class engineering design services in aerospace sector.

Infotech Enterprise Chairman and Managing Director B V R Mohan Reddy, in a release, said Infotech and HAL had over the years built significant strengths in the aerospace sector.

He said the JV would open a plethora of opportunities to provide comprehensive engineering services to customers in the aerospace sector.

Terming the JV as the first of its kind in India, HAL Chairman Ashok K Baweja said a number of future opportunities in design services would be diverted to the new entity.

With offset programme-related work expected to flow into India from 2009, the JV would be in a strong position to win a large portion of the engineering services work, he added.
