Former Akola Zilla Parishad CEO booked for defrauding govt
Akola, Maharashtra, May 3 (UNI) Complaints have been lodged against former Akola Zilla Parishad chief executive officer B R Pokharkar and four others for allegedly cheating the government to the tune of Rs 5 lakh.
The complaint has been lodged by Shivaji Balkrishna Korde who has alleged that few students were shown as having received computer education from a private institute under a State Government scheme.
However, no such students were trained at the institute and, thus, the Government was cheated to the tune of Rs five lakh.
The other four against whom the complaint has been registered are the proprietor of the institute Sanjay Pardhi, district rural development project director R U Avchar, district agriculture development officer Milind Shende and social welfare department clerk Anand Ingle.
