Dacoit chieftain's son surrenders in MP
Shivpuri, MP, May 3 (UNI) Slain dacoit chieftain Dayaram Gadaria's son Kamlesh has surrendered in this district's Karaira Police Station, police said.
Kamlesh, who surrendered yesterday, stands accused of having sheltered his paternal uncle -- the now deceased Rambabu -- and helping the latter. Both Dayaram and Rambabu, who carried rewards of Rs 5 lakh each for their arrest, were eliminated in police encounters.
A case was registered at the Police Station a month back under the Anti-Dacoity Act against Kamlesh, his paternal aunt Ramshri and a few other relatives. Ramshri was arrested earlier and Kamlesh's brother Rajesh surrendered previously.
Police claimed to have wiped out the Gadaria gang and are now on a drive against those who provided it refuge and assistance.
