CEO reviews preparations for Lok Sabha by-polls

Shimla, May 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manisha Nanda reviewed the preparations for the Hamirpur Lok Sabha by polls through video conference today.

She held discussions with district elections officers, SPs and other concerned officers from Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra and Una districts on polling booths, identification of sensitive areas, and availability of election material.

Besides, nomination process, constitution of polling parties and their rehearsals, preparation for counting, implementation of model code of conduct and deployment of security forces for maintaining of law and order during the election was also discussed, an official release here said.

Ms Nanda also directed the officers to take effective steps for smooth conduct of the by-polls.
