Bomb scare aboard Shatabdi Express

Lucknow, May 3 (UNI) Lucknow-New Delhi Shatabdi Express was halted at Manaknagar here following a bomb scare soon after it left the Charbagh Railway Station.

Northern Railway Chief Controller Najib-ul-hasan had received the information about a bomb aboard the superfast train.

Senior officials rushed to the spot with bomb disposal and dog squads, Uttar Pradesh home department principal secretary K Chandramauli said here.

A thorough search was conducted in the train.

However, nothing was found and Shatabdi Express chugged out around 1810 hrs.
