Body said to be Iraqi Qaeda leader shown on TV

BAGHDAD, May 3 (Reuters) Iraqi state television broadcast images today of the body of a man it identified as Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, a senior al Qaeda leader in Iraq.

The Interior Ministry had earlier said Baghdadi, leader of the self-styled Islamic State of Iraq, had been killed in a gunbattle near Baghdad.
